How to find my best place?
A subscriber asked Mr. Llewellyn George “Why do the effects of planetary aspects seem to strike some places more than others?“
That is because some places have influences that coincide more with the nature of the aspect while others do not. Each country, city or village has its’ own horoscope, much the same as human living beings have, and the various lunations, eclipses and other celestial phenomena have effects that are proportionate to the influences of the stars just like certain people have susceptibility to certain planetary positions or aspects.
It would be good if the horoscope of a place could be ascertained particularly for the inhabitants thereof, because from it could be foretold all the important conditions relating to its welfare or its various effects from climate and weather, but the problem is that the method for discerning such horoscopes cannot be settled upon.
Here is an example: Sepharial used the Geodesic method for comparing individuals with the charts of cities for which would be best for their occupation or seeking a marital partner or their health.
Originally the Brotherhood of Light and C. C. Zain followed Sepharial and Doris Chase Doane wrote a book giving the locations around the globe with attendant charts. Then about fifteen to twenty years later she did an about face and determined a city and country’s zodiacal aspect should be based not on their location but on their incorporation or constitutional ratification.
Not to be outdone:
- Zipporah Dobyns typed “Planets on the Move: the Astrology of Relocation”;
- Jim Lewis wrote the “Astrology of Astro Carto Graphy”;
- Dan Furst did “Finding your Best Places”;
- Donna van Toen’s “Mars”
- Michael Erlewine wrote “Local Space Relocation“;
- Emma Belle Donath penned “Relocation”
- and so on (the above list is the books I’ve personally read)
There then, are a myriad of ways to splice the planet and determine the best location one should to reside; or if sick, where they would soonest recover health; if poor, where they could best accumulate money; if friendless, where they would meet congenial associates, etc., and in many other ways improve their conditions physically, mentally or spiritually, but it is very difficult to determine which method is best and that is the nut that has to be cracked first.
